Renewable energy sources are considered a part of the future production in Malaysia. The main objectives this research to append new extraction technique that harvests from tides and develop preliminary design for tidal plant at Kuching Barrage. Knowing diameter turbine, dimensions powerhouse achieved conjunction with site conditions. centerline should be least below low water tide so is all times guaranteed submerged. Based on this, has 24.61m length, about 100m distance across, its elevation 36.39m. construction located downstream habitation -1.15 LSD. calculated comprised four bulb-type turbines installed each barrage gate. turbine blades would face sea 11.32m length draft tube. This study detailed feasibility can implemented.
